Planning A Visit    

How to find us: The closest entrance to the Museum in through the MP checkpoint at the corner of Stanley and Harry Wurzbach Roads accessible off I-410. All individuals in the vehicle must show a picture ID to enter Fort Sam Houston.  After exiting the checkpoint, turn right on Stanley Road.  Parking is on your left and the Museum is on your right. 

Additional entrances to Fort Sam Houston are the gates at Brooke Army Medical Center and Walters Road, both accessible from I-35.  If entering through these gates, please ask directions to the museum.

How to Contact us: The gift shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am until 4:00pm CST. The Gift Shop is open on Wednesday’s until 6:00 pm.  You may contact the gift shop by phone at 210.225.0015/0016, 1.800.523.0015/0016 or through the museum gift shop webpage (www.ameddgiftshop.com).

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00AM to 4:00 PM. Closed Sundays, Mondays and Federal Holidays.

Admission: No-Charge. Donations and contributions are encouraged.

Exhibits: Equipment, uniforms, vehicles and are works relating to the history of the US Army Medical Department from 1775 to current.

Gift shop: Retail operation carries a wide variety of unique items relating to the Army Medical Department including books, shirts, jewelry, stationery and gifts.

AMEDD Museum Foundation: The US Army Medical Department Museum Foundation, Inc. raises funds to support the Museum and its programs. .
