The AMEDD Museum Foundation will sponsor a guest speaker, SES Cem Maxwell will talk about all the BRAC building going on at Fort Sam Houston. Time and place will be 16 February at 5pm in the activities room at the museum. Reception will follow. This will be a great presentation.

"Book of Names"
Frank Hutchinson

In November 2009, Mr. Frank Hutchinson visited the museum.  Mr. Hutchinson was a member of a team that climbed Mount Everest to take two books he calls the “book of names” to the top of Everest.  One of the books lists the names of all service members who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan since the war began.  The other book lists the names of all the service members who have given their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan since the war began.  Mr. Hutchinson is not affiliated with the military, he just has a love and respect for the men and women who serve in our armed forces.  His story was very compelling. Mr. Hutchinson will return to San Antonio on March 18th. More details to come.
