The AMEDD Museum Foundation Board holds Its First In-Person Meeting since the Pandemic.
Mrs. Barbara Becerra, Treasurer, addresses the Board of Directors at the
2022 AMEDD Museum Foundation Spring Board Meeting.
On Friday, June 10, 2022, the AMEDD Museum Foundation’s Board of Directors assembled to enjoy fellowship and updates after two long years of not meeting in person due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The meeting was also available for board members to attend virtually.
The Chairman of the Board, BG (Ret.) Daniel Perugini opened the meeting, and those assembled said the Pledge of Allegiance before the proceedings were underway. During the past two years, the officers of the Executive Committee have continued to tirelessly conduct business on behalf of the Board, while providing regular updates to board members to ensure that all members were able to provide feedback on business proceedings as necessary.
The Executive Committee members provided their respective updates to the Board and answered questions. President of the AMEDD Museum Foundation, COL (Ret.) Herb Coley, shared critical updates about the Capital Campaign efforts and the need to revitalize the Foundation’s approach and refocus our efforts to make necessary improvements to the AMEDD Museum.
George Wunderlich, the Museum Director, provided an update to the Board about the Museum’s activities over the past two years. As George has been placed in charge of both the AMEDD Museum and the Fort Sam Houston Museum, more is demanded of the AMEDD Museum staff to support both locations. However, the Museum stays committed to serving and training soldiers and sharing the history and heritage of Army medicine at every opportunity.
George Wunderlich, AMEDD Museum Director, provides an update on the goals,
opportunities, and challenges facing the Museum.
After good discussion about the Foundation’s activities and what the next steps in achieving our strategic goals are, the meeting concluded. It was revitalizing to see so many familiar and new faces in the meeting! The Foundation is looking ahead to a bright future for the AMEDD Museum.
Exciting Update! An open letter from the Foundation
