Senior General Officers Visit Museum to Support Capital Campaign Goals

Recently the Foundation’s Capital Campaign goal of opening the Museum to public access moved another step nearer to reality. AMEDD Museum Foundation Announces Receipt of $480,000 Capital Campaign Grant

The AMEDD Museum Foundation is proud to announce the receipt of an extraordinary grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).  The grant, valued at $480,000, was received in August based on a grant application made by the Foundation staff earlier this year. WWII Motorcycle Exhibit Opens

The Museum recently opened a new exhibit highlighting a 1943 Harley Davidson SLA motorcycle that was used by the US Army in various roles in World War II. The exhibit’s setting is Caratan, France on 13 June, 1944 during the Battle of Bloody Gulch after the Allied invasion of Normandy.  The exhibit displays the motorcycle as the transportation mode of a 2nd Armored Division Soldier in France.  The injured rider is being treated by a […]

Foundation says Farewell to Samantha Popejoy

On 3 May 2019, the Foundation bade a fond farewell to Grant Writer, Samantha Popejoy at the Quarterly Board meeting.  Beginning her work at the Museum as a Graduate Intern in Museum Science, Samantha quickly made herself at home getting to know the staff and the Museum.  Her bright personality, quick grasp, and innovative ideas were soon to have positive impacts across the Museum.  As her Internship came to a close, the Foundation employed her […]
